Teia Evans is a Project Director with a proven track record in nonprofit and cooperative development organizations. As the Project Director for NCBA CLUSA’s USDA-funded Strengthening Co-op Capacity for Historically Underserved Farmers, she is responsible for spearheading initiatives aimed at improving the lives of underserved farmers by strengthening their cooperative capacity. Ms. Evans has dedicated her career to helping farmers secure resources to maintain and improve farm productivity, while also creating distribution systems for farmer networks to expand their reach.

She has extensive experience in providing technical assistance and training to develop cooperative economies across the country, making her a respected leader in the field. Prior to joining NCBA CLUSA, Ms. Evans served on the CooperationWorks! Board of Directors, where she was able to influence policy and promote best practices in cooperative development. She is a proud graduate of Morgan State University and holds both an MBA and a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University’s School of Law. Ms. Evans is known for her unwavering commitment to creating sustainable solutions that benefit historically underserved farmers.
