Bio
Damián Osta is a co-founder of la diaria, one of Uruguay’s most influential media outlets, which is owned by a cooperative of its workers. As the General Manager of la diaria, he promoted the creation of Utopía, an open-source technology stack necessary for managing a media outlet sustained by its community. He also co-founded Futuria, an innovation lab focused on decentralized technology and its impact on media.
Currently, he holds the role of Product Director at la diaria and leads the development of the digital subscription content platform, a central bet for the cooperative’s future economy.
