Gituku Kirika is a financial services and payments professional with over 15 years of leadership experience across East Africa. He has a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions, managing stakeholder engagement, and leading cross-functional teams. Before becoming the Chief Executive Officer at Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL), where he currently leads PesaLink, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank and Diamond Trust Bank, focusing on product development. Gituku also spent five years at Mastercard, driving Pan-African strategy and execution as the digital payments lead for Sub-Saharan Africa. His work at Mastercard led to solutions that reached over 15 million new users, with an initiative to deliver to 30 million more. Additionally, he led negotiations and launched key card-based solutions, such as Nakumatt Global and NationHela, contributing to transformation projects in the payments space.
