Bereket A. Tsegay is an Amharic content moderator for TikTok at Teleperformance Kenya and a leading voice against AI-driven exploitation in Africa. As Head of Union Organizing at Teleperformance, he works with global stakeholders to confront the ethical and labor challenges of AI-enabled content moderation. A member of the Kenya Communication Workers Union under UNI Global since May 2023, Bereket champions transparency and accountability in AI systems. He is also a founding member of the Africa Tech Workers Movement, a regional initiative dedicated to protecting tech workers from algorithmic exploitation and advancing equitable participation in the digital economy.
