One of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s top priorities in the United States Senate is to build an economy that works for every New Yorker. Senator Gillibrand is determined to make sure that all New Yorkers have the opportunity to reach their full potential. She is fighting every day to create more good-paying jobs and to support entrepreneurs around the state. Senator Gillibrand has authored and passed bipartisan legislation to reward work, such as the Main Street Employee Ownership Act to provide federal support to cooperatives, and bipartisan legislation to provide the skills training our workers need for success, such as the 21st Century SHOP CLASS Act. She also passed into law bipartisan legislation to rebuild manufacturing communities across the state.
