Bio

Ben Gansky is excited to facilitate a forum for organizers and entrepreneurs to leap over short-term, reactionary thinking to get to visionary possibilities for a future radically different than our present. Through guided creative collaboration, participants will envision stories of the future products + programs that could shape our world over the next generation — for better and for worse. Ben is an artist, game designer, and community organizer with over a decade of experience creating narrative experiences as platforms for community organizing, culture shift, and policy change. He is a co-founder and the executive director of Free Machine, a nonprofit collective developing creative programs that awaken civic participation at the intersection of emerging technology and public policy. Ben is also the Research and Engagement Manager at Institute for the Future’s Equitable Futures Lab, where he was a 2018 IFTF Fellow for Good. Ben holds an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
