Zhang Jieping is the founder of Matters Lab, a new decentralised content platform based on blockchain technology. She perviously served as Editor-in-Chief at Initium Media, Executive Editor-in-Chief for iSun Affairs, Deputy Editor-in-Chief for City Magazine, Writer for the New York Times (Chinese Web Edition), and Reporter for Asia Week. She wrote extensively about governance, politics, and social movements in mainland China and Hong Kong between 2006 and 2015. As a journalist, She has received 13 journalism awards, including “Journalist of the Year (2010),” awarded by the Society of Publishers in Asia.
